Voting For 'True America'

Unfortunately, I don't have the right to vote in the upcoming US Presidential elections in November - but if I am to vote I would vote for the Republican candidate, John McCain.

Many around the globe were talking about the right of the world population to vote in the US elections on the ground that new president's policies affect not only the American people, but the whole world. In fact everybody, from Venezuelans to the Myanmarese, have an opinion now about the next White House inhabitant.

Most of the people in our region would like to see an African-American president, especially if he has got Hussain as a middle name. Actually, the Democratic presidential candidate has got a remarkable full name. His first name is the surname of the most probable next Israeli Prime Minister.

Ehud Barak, who is a current Israeli defence minister, is a Zionist hawk. No need to remind you of what the middle name refers to, as Iraq is still a hotspot. Last name was used by Fox news, early in the election campaign, to mock him as "Barrack Osama", linking him to the Al Qaida chief Bin Laden.

Obama might have been fighting for the White House with slogans opposing President George W. Bush's policies, and consequently John McCain's, on Iraq and other issues.

In fact this is just a campaign tactic to win the votes of those who opposed the war and want their soldiers to return home safely. But Senator Obama voted for the war at the very beginning, and tactically changed his earlier views about containing Iran peacefully when it seemed it was going to cost him votes.

The same applies to all foreign policy issues, from the biased American stance in the Middle East to interventionist policies in Latin America.

All this has nothing to do with me not voting Obama. When it comes to foreign policy, you hardly judge it by the president's view, as it is the whole nonpartisan establishment that sets the foreign policy. My fear is that Obama would lead a policy of reaction rather than initiative.

To distance himself from his so called Muslim roots, he would be harsh Islamophobic. To prove that he is enlightened Christian, he would alienate the religious voters who might bring him to office.

He would always be obsessed by being "President for all Americans", and not a "Black President" or a minority president. So, he is expected to be more "royal than the king" in appeasing the Anglo-Saxon white and blue-collars at the expense of blacks, Hispanics and likes.

John McCain has always been consistent in his views. On the war in Iraq, he voted for it at the beginning, supported Bush's policies up to the last "surge" of troops. He is clear about the need to stay in Iraq and use it as a launch-pad in the fight against what he sees as "Islamic terrorism".

Whenever he visited the region, even as a leading figure of the Senate Defence Committee, he had one focus: Israel security interests. He is a strong believer in the idea that invading Iraq was the best to do for the sake of Israel.

As for the global economic crisis, in which the ills of the American economy play a leading role, McCain is bound to lead the same approach of the current administration. He vowed to extend tax cuts, especially for businesses, and most likely he will spend more, thus aggravating the structural imbalances in the federal budgets.

Most likely, he would help big businesses to get the law changes Bush's administration could not pass through Congress. Big oils will have Alaska environmental reservation opened for them, and the military-industrial complex will get more contracts and create more jobs.

Voting for John McCain is actually voting for the true America now. The Republican Senator's military background and his old age are consistent with the time-frame of the American dream.

He represents all what the world saw as shortcomings of Bush. Moreover, he is an economic liberal, religious liberal, social liberal with a cabal of neo-conservative advisers.

McCain would properly fit the profile with the development of the American empire, while Obama will be an illusive attempt to regenerate the fading American dream. Then, voting for the "True America" means voting for McCain.

Boysie. DUUUUUDE! You're making it harder and harder for me to write things you haven't already said. But, here goes.

I've got news for many people around the world. Some of you may have heard about this already. But for those who haven't, this is very scary stuff to americans.

There are 100s of thousands of middle class, blue blooded amreicans (myself included) who are what they call "conspiricy theorists. Some even call us wackos. Either way, we truely believe that the US government is working hard to do something that may end up being irreversible. What I'm talking about is, they are trying to dwindle the US dollar into nothing more than toilet paper so they can initiate a universal monitary system. And our government is working hand in hand with many other countries to accomplish their "New World Order".

Not only that, there are very secretive "conventions" (COUGHBULLSHITCOUGH) held once a year where only high powered government officials and very wealthy and influential elitists are invited. So secret, in fact, there are armed guards to make sure the media does NOT get in.

So, If you think the rippling effects of our economy falling appart is having on your countries is bad now, wait till you see what happens in the next few years. The whole world may end up turned upside down on it's ear.

AS for Obama, what you said is very true Boysie. Because of the expectations of white america and all the "brothas and sistas in da hood", the man is now between a rock and a hard place.

He grew up, raised by his mom, not having much. And, he's accomplished a lot over the years. However, if he does get into office, he will have a 2 ton boulder hanging over his head ready to come crashing down on him any minute. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

But, McCain is a whole different story all together. He grew up with a US Navy admiral for a father. And they make DAMN good money! Because of his rank, McCain's father also had friends in very high places.

So basically, McCain grew up not wanting for anything. And, had much much more going for him than Obama did since birth.

Don't get me wrong. I'm very proud to be an american because of men like McCain. Years ago, when I saw an interview with him talking about what happened to him and other POWs in Viet Nam, my jaw hit the floor. So, I admire him very much.

But, that's where my admiration for him stops dead. The day he married his second wife (whom he abandoned his first wife for), he became completely disconnected from the rest of us "true americans".

With his government pay, and his wife's falmily money, the man has more wealth than he could spend in a lifetime, He isn't even sure how many houses he owns for god's sake! How the hell can he be one of "us" when he don't have enough calculators to count all his money???

To hear the gibberish that's been pouring out of McCains mouth for almost a year about what he will do for "us" is disgusting and really pisses me off.

There's a saying about not trusting a man who speaks with a forked tongue. Well, guess what? BOTH Obama and McCain have tongues that are forked all the way back to their tonsils. Neither one is going to do jack s**t for "us".

As far as McCain's views on fighting terorism, he, and the rest of the US government know damn well that crushing the islamic psychos in iraq will do about as much good as stomping on one fire ant while the rest of the nest pours out and slowly chews off your foot at the ankle.

Not only that, but many of us here believe that the US government is just sitting here, waiting patiently for Israel to push "that wittle wed button" that will launch the misiles which will melt Palestine into extinction. In doing so, the US will no longer be direrctally to blame for starting World War III in the middle east. Or, so they think.

First of all, nobody can select his or her own father personally. So being born black, arab, asian or other minorities should not be used to characterize one's ability, intellect & desire to do good. Bigotry, even how deep & long being embedded to our society, does not mean it is already acceptable & right.

Ahmad Mustafa's statements have lots of contradictions with reality. Let's do some fact checks:

He said:
"But Senator Obama voted for the war at the very beginning, and tactically changed his earlier views about containing Iran peacefully when it seemed it was going to cost him votes."

Fact: Obama voted against the war in Iraq from the very beginning.

He said:
"The same applies to all foreign policy issues, from the biased American stance in the Middle East to interventionist policies in Latin America."

Fact: It is McCain who has biased policies towards the Middle East against Obama's policy to solve the problem thru diplomatic ways. And it is McCain who has interventionist policies in Latin America, re-NAFTA issues. It is Obama who will sit down with Hugo Chavez without preconditions.

He said:
"To distance himself from his so called Muslim roots, he would be harsh Islamophobic. To prove that he is enlightened Christian, he would alienate the religious voters who might bring him to office."

Fact: From the start, Obama is not a muslim, he happened to have a muslim name, as I said earlier nobody can select his/her own father personally, but he was baptized as a Christian, he is a member of Christian congregation, remember Jeremiah Wright. And by the way being a muslim is not wrong, this form of religious bigotry will again promote hate & insecurities.

He said:
"He would always be obsessed by being "President for all Americans", and not a "Black President" or a minority president. So, he is expected to be more "royal than the king" in appeasing the Anglo-Saxon white and blue-collars at the expense of blacks, Hispanics and likes."

Fact: Definitely, he should do this. He should not mention the term black to promote his candidacy, that is racism.

He said:
"John McCain is clear about the need to stay in Iraq and use it as a launch-pad in the fight against what he sees as "Islamic terrorism"."

Fact: There was no Al Qaeda in Iraq before the Iraq War. The enemy is in Afghanistan. Iraq is a diversion. Now, all jihadis are coming to Iraq to fight the Americans, Iraq is not a launch pad to fight terrorism. It is the lauch pad of terrorism.

He said:
"Mc Cain is an economic liberal, religious liberal, social liberal with a cabal of neo-conservative advisers."

Fact: Obama is the Liberal & Mc Cain is the conservative. Check each candidate's stand in abortion, gay/lesbian rights, tax cuts & health care.

Here Mustafa got it right:
"McCain vowed to extend tax cuts, especially for businesses, and most likely he will spend more, thus aggravating the structural imbalances in the federal budgets."

That's a fact. McCain is the extension of Bush failed economic policies. Because of these policies that he wants to extend, the US is in economic turmoil that will also affect the rest of the world thru the economic tsunami. The US has 10 trillion dollars of debt, 500 billion of that is from China whose economy is getting more stronger, due to the fact that in the absence of America in some countries who have business potentials, it is equalized by the presence of China. Because George Bush's America, instead of concentrating in the economy, which the Chinese are doing, their minds are diverted to the war in Iraq.

But then, even though this is a fact, still, Mc Cain will continue these policies & even vowed for more tax cut extensions to the rich & big businesses.

Nothing could have been better expressed than the words of these two gentlemen here. They have it all and very well said.

However, I just want to add some points of being the "True and Real American" history's been forgotten who are the true Americans, and where are they now..when western civilization came and invaded their continent they have been regarded as savages in storylines and in the
movies.

The author is implying the concepts of True American as the world's Imperialist and McCain's an idealist that fits the description to rule between the two candidates.

True, Israel is trying to be little America in Middle Eastern. Jewish mostly are very rich and are biggest political supporters in America, ..money talks always.

I don't even want to touch the Palestinian issue which even the resolutions of the United Nation had been sidelined to no avail. America has been crying of WMD in Iraq and nuclear bomb in Iran but the big question is..have they ever tried to check on Israel???

I have nothing against Jews, for what I am now and what I have become is because of a good Jew samaritan. My mentor was a Jew who taught me words of wisdom to survive against odds.

My heart goes to the plight of the Palestines, if the Bible said that Israelites are God's Chosen people, so as the America to Israel.

If America wants to reform the Muslim world concepts against the Western,(actually been trying to bring democracy to the Muslim world) it should start in Palestine, give them back whatever belongs to them and end the oppression towards the land and to its people. This can be slowly attained through diplomatic solutions working with the UN without shedding more innocents blood.

But America has its own self smear to wash now and its own yard to fix which is eroding visibly to the world.

I would like to comment on that paragraph. I totally understand, and agree with your point. Not only that, none of my family was in america durring the "old west" or durring slavery.

However, the "brothas and sistas" who are many many generations removed from the slaves of america love to lump all of us "whities, crackers etc" together as if all our families had a hand in this. What every single one of them forget while they whine, bitch, complain and play the blame game is the fact that the true blue, ORIGINAL "americans" are the native americans.

It really pisses me off when people in gerneral here, not just blacks, make this very important period of americn histor a very small, almost unimportant part. I admit, there are times when I forget this myself. It's not that I don't care. I just forget.

The US needs to, out of respect (and in some small way, to help save face), honor native americans with a month of tribute, just like they do for blacks with black history month.

Maybe, someday, if there is ever peace in the middle east, Isreal will look at this and come up with some kind of tribute to the natives of their country. We'll see.

well, well well..it seems that obama is bound to make history. mccain is falling down fast like a meter attributed mostly to his impaired judgement of choosing a running mate.

to all the white dudes here, i understand your sentiments, you guys have all the reasons to explode. i'm lucky that belong to the brownies sect and not tangled in tug of war between black and white. always proud to be tanned skin.

i'm not an obama fan neither an oldie mccain follower, i vote for jerry springer. how about this: JEERRY SPRINGER FOR PRESIDENT...HeP HeP HURRAY!
